My favourite way to shop for books is to support local independent bookstores! And this one is my favourite! I love their selection of new arrivals and that they will order in books that they don't have on their shelves. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and competent staff. I always enjoy a stop here for a new book or gift.
What a great local book store! I visited recently while on holidays in the area and fell in love with this little book store. I’ve recently started a ritual of buying a book from a local author while visiting new places. The store had a great selection of local authors (as well as plenty of best sellers). Book stores like this one are so hard to find and Orangeville is lucky to have Book Lore!
Thank you for helping my son choose the perfect book for me for Christmas. I had given him a short list of some of the books on my “to read” list. None of the books on my list were in stock. Staff took the time to suggest another book based upon the books on my list. I hadn’t known about Jann Arden’s book, If I Knew Then… it is the perfect book for me and I’m loving it. Thank you again!! When I was younger I had a bookmark making business so I dropped off some samples here, nice laminated with real dried flowers and butterfly wings with nice yarn and ribbon strings. Upon my return to the store a week later, to see if they wanted to place an order, they had told me they threw them all out and wouldn’t be carrying them in the store. This crushed my young entrepreneurial spirit and I never went back. I would like to share this experience because I thought it was not how business should be done without courtesy or class.
BookLore is the heart and soul of Orangeville. In a time where people are reading less, they strive to help people find books that they'll be interested in reading—books that will hopefully spark a new passion. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their book selection has everything from best sellers to hidden gems. And they are constantly promoting fundraisers and events happening in the community. If you're in Orangeville, I highly recommend stopping by to see what you can find.
My favourite bookstore ever. Friendly staff that will order books for you. So many amazing and great books I could spend hours here ! I love that the news is always on and talking about current issues!
