I can’t say enough good things about Transcend’s delicious Caribbean meals. As a working mom on night shifts, I don’t always have the time or energy to cook, and these meals have been an absolute life saver. Not only are they incredibly tasty, authentic, and well-seasoned Caribbean dishes, but the convenience of having them delivered right to my home has made such a difference in my weekly routine. Every meal I’ve tried so far (6 in total) has been fresh, flavorful, and comforting. You can tell real love and care is put into their meals. I’m so grateful for a service that not only makes my life easier, but lets me enjoy delicious Caribbean cuisine without spending hours in the kitchen. We hired Jex Catering for our anniversary party Saturday, September 6th, 2025, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the initial contact with Jex to the end of the party, Jex service and professionalism was exceptional. The food on our anniversary day was spectacular. We received so many compliments on the Oxtail, Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken dishes. The Coconut Shrimps and with Lime and Smoke Aioli was a delicious starter; "Amuse-bouche", to kick start our guests appetites. Everything was fresh, flavorful and beautiful presented. Jex was so lovely to work with! We started with a quick call to get an idea of what I was looking for (surprise dinner for a bachelorette party). He offered plenty of options for us to build our custom menu. He was on time, super friendly, kind, and most importantly the food was incredible! We were so stuffed at the end of the meal! And he left the kitchen cleaner than he found it. I would definitely work with Jex again for any special occasions!
I had the pleasure planned son's wedding rehearsal dinner with Jex and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. The dinner was presented beautifully and was a real hit with the guests. Everyone back for seconds and some for thitds. Thank you for making this a stress free event!
We were so happy to have found Jex to cater our son’s wedding last weekend. Right from the start, he assured us that we could ask any questions, that he had us covered & was there to make it as stress free as possible. We were working with him, planning the meal out from a long-distance from Alberta- we didn’t the ability to have a tasting, but it didn’t matter in the end. His social media food photos & great reviews, along with his professional, responsive communication helped us rest easy that he would deliver. And deliver, he did! We received so many amazing comments about the food- it was spot on & wonderful flavours!! Our 90+ guests were so full & content- we didn’t need a lot of appetizers or dessert. We had more than enough food, based on his expert quantity recommendations. Apart from that, the meal arrived hot and on time. Jex even arranged rentals of linens & chafing dishes- at a lower cost than we could source ourselves. We were so pleased and truly grateful for Jex’ services and personal care. We held a sweet 16 birthday dinner. We were going to order food from a known restaurant because of the short time frame we didn't think that anyone else would be able to accommodate this event. We reached out to Jex and he responded in such a timely manner. He set up a tasting of the food that we were looking for and it was excellent! The professionalism and the authentic taste of the food was what made us choose Transcend. Everyone at the dinner commented about how good the food tasted.
