Home Hardware continues to amaze me with the amount of harder to find necessities that they can fit under one smaller roof. I never discount them as my first stop for items like parts for my garage door opener or lock . I also like extra services like the instore installation of screens into a door or window frame. Recently, I tried shopping online on the Home hardware website. The website it was a little difficult to navigate with a three item order. I was ordering close to the end of a promotional and it was impossible to find all three items at one store inventory so I was unable to ship direct to my home. To avoid missing the the deals I had order shipped to my local store and I picked it up a couple of days later. The order saved me 30% on $300 order. As an additional note, the contractor desk in this location is top notch particularly when buying lumber and bulk.
One of my preferred home hardware stores for the staff and selection but the hours are brutal and they are usually closed when I drive by on the way home. I bet staying open until 9pm every night would do wonders for your business. Went by today after checking the hours online only to discover they closed 2 hours early... If you are going to change your hours make sure that you update them online!!!
Lacks proper ability to greet customers to make them feel valued! Two feet into the store, clerk told me from 20' feet away "You will need to leave your backpack at the checkout". Never said "Hello", Not "could I help you", Not a smile. Such a frosty greeting I turned around and left. I was dressed in business attire yet treated like I had entered to steal.
One of my favorite places to shop for my building products. The service is great, friendly staff. The prices are great, easy return policy.

(2018-04-04) Update: Unexpectedly received phone call today. Manager looked into the situation for us and called to offer sincere apology and offer to more than correct the situation. Thank you so much for the quick resolution. (2018-04-02) Ripped off on backsplash tiles. Ordered 38 square feet of 3x6 marble tiles. The actual size of tiles was 2.75 x 5.5 so we actually only received 35 sq feet of tile. They would not give us missing 3 sq feet of tile. Said this was industry standard to have tiles not actual dimensions and you have to order extra AND PAY extra to make up for this difference. Do not use their design center.

Alot of people like this store, shop local and shop canadian, I havent really had good service here. Anything I have wanted have not been in stock, I cant find anyone too help me, what is strange is people who like this store say the same about Big Orange. Nice store to visit at christmas, prices are not a lot more than Big Orange.
