I checked into this hotel knowing that I would only be there for about 5 hours. In this 5 hours - my expectation was to have a clean bed to sleep in, running water to clean up and a quick breakfast in the morning.The bed was clean and comfortable - and I was able to get a good rest. The breakfast was also pretty good. It offered everything that I would expect in a breakfast.The problem I had with the hotel was that the water that was coming out of the tap was brown/yellow. I called down to let the front desk know and was in formed that they had recently changed the boiler (or something to that effect). Her suggestion to me was that I run the water and it should clear up. I ended up running the water for 30 min and although it got better - it was still yellow. As I mentioned earlier - I was only there for 5 hours and running water for 30 min before giving up and brushing my teeth with bottled water took away from time I could be sleeping. When I woke in the morning I tried running the water again so I could take a shower - and again after 20 min the water still remained yellow. I opted to NOT shower. Imagine that. After a full day of travel and then to not have the opportunity to shower.Anyways - I let the front desk know how unhappy I was with the circumstances when I was checking out but once again they said that if I ran the water it would be fine.This was the second time staying at this hotel - but it will definitely be my last.
Excellent hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Facility very clean, rooms clean and with great amenities. Only downfall was breakfast. Eggs were over done, cold and like rubber, other things were underdone. Hopefully that will improve! But overall a great place to stay!
Excellent place to stay! We had a family wedding close by so a block of rooms were reserved for guests. The hotel was very well kept. The included breakfast has a good variety. I especially enjoyed the waffle maker! 24 hour coffee service was a godsend. The pool area, jacuzzi and fitness room were also great. Overall, a great value.
We haven't stayed in a Best Western for years. We were advised by friends to stay at this BW Plus. What a great suggestion! The location was close to everywhere. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The configuration of the suite was unusually nice and convenient. The Boston Pizza was right next door--handy enough to walk over for dinner. The breakfast area at the hotel had a beautiful view toward downtown Orangeville. It was very pleasant and the breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This is THE place to stay in Orangeville.
I like to bring my daughter's here to use the swimming pool and watch movies, it is in no way cheap but to me the time together is important. One of the first things they ask is if they can do anything to make your stay better. I wrote anything they could do to make my daughters smile.We showed up and everything was great, the room was absolutely beautiful and clean...but there is nothing there for my kids (5 & 7) like they had asked me if they could do..? . And I mean they could have left a pack of Skittles after I spent over $200 on a room for 1 night and they asked if they could do anything special..? Fortunately I didn't tell my girls anything so they weren't disappointed, only I was..The second part is that, yes, I broke some rules and snuck a 12 week old puppy in the hotel in a pet carrier. I had booked the hotel and it was non-refundable and then I had gotten a puppy unexpectedly that same day. He didn't bark, per or chew anything he didn't do anything, no one knew he was there until a housekeeper saw him.. she went and told somebody. I then had a gentleman approach me curious about the dog and acting like he wanted to see it. He then told me it was in a no-pet facility. My kids were in the pool having so much fun and it was only 9 a.m. we could have had two more hours of fun. I know I broke a rule but it was only so I didn't have to either leave the new puppy somewhere ( and honestly I have no one to watch him) or waste my money because I could not cancel.I've always brought my kids here because I thought it was special and they love it so much. I'll be driving out of town next time.
