Orangeville Hospital has shorter waits than the City hospitals. I thought waiting a couple of hours to be seen was terrible until I had an emergency and went to a Mississauga hospital...waited 8 hours for service. I now realize why people from Brampton go to the Orangeville hospital.
This place is the worst!!! My husband had a sharp pain on his back and we went to the emergency room, after 8 hours waiting and all the blood work, urine test, Ultrasound and CT...they told him he has an infection and gave him a very strong antibiotic. A weeks later he finally managed to see his family doctor and found out that he has three kidney stones and the hospital caught that on the CT but did not tell him.
I have been going to this hospital for over 10-years and had my daughter here in April, 2018 the staff was amazing to my husband and I from the Labour and Delvery Department. But the worse department I have found in this hospital that needs a refresher course on customer service is the DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING I find that most of them have a chip on their shoulder, I came across a lady who wanted to change my appt because their short staff and said all appts will be cancelled, I have been waiting on this appt for my infant daughter for over 6-weeks, since I was pregnant her kidneys were abnormal, and medical professionals thought it would correct itself by birth, it hasn't we've had two ultrasounds and her kidneys are growing larger than normal, this appt would of determined the course of treatment (surgery, etc). The employere from Imaging Diagnostic called me with attitude to try to reschedule my appt, I tried explaining my situation she didn't want to hear it and kept saying stop screaming to me...I can barley talk I had laryngitis for over 2-weeks which I tried to tell her she is lying, and I don't appreciate it. I asked to speak to her manager and she hanged up on me. I called back and spoke to the manager and was able to keep my appt and when I got there other individuals were there for their appts so flat out she lied..........but now it's been over 2-weeks and we are still waiting on the results...I've never heard of taking it this long common 3-5 business days but never 2-wks, I believe they are making me wait be vindictive....... It's funny that I hear people complaining about being short staff or require funding to hire more but if you look at what these indidvudlas were doing they were socializing half of the time and I had two young girls on their mobiles texting....is that part of their job????
Terrible wait times.. Terrible employees.. Terrible experience.. almost better off walking to Brampton at least if get in before 10 hours..
